My facorite place to go when visiting Michigan! An outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The food is always incredibly fresh and delicious, wish each dish showing real attention to detail. The flavors of each dish are clean and authentic, and the quality of ingredients always stands out! The service is always attentive and warm. I can't wait to come back again, and highly recrommend this restaraunt to everyone!

We went to Sushi Dabu for lunch and it was phenomenal! To start, we ordered the vegetable tempura, which had a light and crispy exterior. For lunch, we ordered the spicy salmon roll, the Chicago Roll, the Special California Roll, the Screaming Tuna Roll, and the smelt roe (masago). All of the sushi was seasoned wonderfully and fresh, especially the smelt, which had a nice hint of citrus. We have been coming here for years, and it has never disappointed! :)

The service and food were exceptional. Especially for the price! We were super happy. We got the chirashi donburi, tuna feast platter, the spicy seafood udon, and a soju mule pitcher to share. The tuna was super fresh, some of the best I’ve had in Ann Arbor. Our server was Annie and she was extremely attentive and ensured my food was gluten free with no cross-contamination (I have celiacs and this is not easy to find).

the waitress annie was more than accommodating!! She had the entire (huge) menu memorized and still managed to make jokes. when we arrived it wasn’t too busy and we were lucky to have a lot of help from annie. As the restaurant filled up she needed up serving like 5 tables at once and never stopped checking on us. Annie is a hero. Plain and simple. Food was also amazing

This is the best sushi in the area. We are from Atlanta and have eaten at some of the top restaurants and this is just as good. The service id fantastic. Annie and the other server are so kind and attentive. We are regulars and they know our names and our drink orders as soon as they seat us. The restaurant interior is cozy and welcoming. If you get the opportunity to stop by please do. Ask for recommendations from Annie because they are spot on. See you soon!

New management knows what's up! I used to be "fine" with this place, but the meal we had last night was outstanding. Incredible service and it was apparent the food was fresh. I was a big fan of the "Seoul Walker" TV channel on in the front. -- a fun touch to add to the nice atmosphere. And thanks to Annie for making our experience even better. We love agedashi tofu so have ordered it from nearly every place that offers it in town. This is easily the best. Perfectly fried with a rich, sweet broth. The tamago is made fresh (you can taste the difference) so definitely get some nigiri if you're a fan. Our maki rolls were all fantastic, I really don't think you can go wrong. Enjoyed the mushroom, salmon on the beach, and mogu mogu rolls. They are very considerate about flavor and texture combos! Enjoyed a couple bottles of hot sake with our meal as well. We'll definitely be back! What a gem.

Very high quality sushi with fresh fish, great flavors, and nice presentation. Better than some sushi I’ve had on the West Coast and NYC for sure
